
The Portugal national football team has announced its squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Cristiano Ronaldo, the 41-year-old striker for Al Nassr FC, was included in the final roster.
The 2026 tournament will mark Ronaldo’s sixth World Cup appearance. He made his World Cup debut in Germany in 2006 and has since competed in the 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 tournaments.
Ronaldo holds the record for the most international goals in men’s football, with 143 goals in 226 appearances for Portugal.
Portugal will compete in Group K during the World Cup group stage alongside national football teams of DR Congo, Uzbekistan, and Colombia.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. For the first time in tournament history, 48 national teams representing six confederations will compete in the event.
