The team behind the upcoming film «Armor of God 4,» starring Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan, has shared the first details from the set.
Filming is taking place in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region, with Salem Entertainment and Dala Edge Creative Tech Park behind the international project.
One of the film’s primary shooting locations was Bozzhyra, a scenic ravine in Mangystau known for its striking landscapes. The 35-member crew spent June 7 to June 12 at one of Mangystau’s best-known landmarks, filming the movie’s opening scenes with support from local authorities.
«We’re ready to fully support initiatives that grow the creative economy, promote cultural heritage and boost tourism across the region,» Gov. Nurdaulet Kilybay said.
The film’s lead star didn’t appear in the released stills, though.

Rumors about Chan’s involvement in an ambitious project in Kazakhstan first surfaced in 2025. At the time, the action star was spotted at Almaty Airport. Later, representatives of Salem Entertainment revealed that the project would be the final installment in the «Armor of God» franchise.
