Kazakhstan plans to establish a Data Center Valley, with Amazon and G42 already planning to participate. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the initiative during a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council.

The president said the Digital Code, the Law on Artificial Intelligence, adopted by Parliament, and the Digital Qazaqstan strategy create favorable conditions for foreign investors.

Tokayev also said modern research laboratories are being established in partnership with Telegram and Presight, while artificial intelligence is being integrated across Kazakhstan’s education system.

“I recently signed a decree under which AI will become a central element of the modernization of secondary education. It will be implemented as a tool that expands teachers’ capabilities, not replaces them. The decree provides for the creation of a personalized learning system, the strengthening of digital infrastructure, improvements to the regulatory framework, and the upgrading of educational standards,” Tokayev said.

According to the president, AI is intended to narrow the gap in educational quality between urban and rural schools and ensure that every child has access to a quality education.

“By investing in education, talent and technology, we are building a solid foundation for a national artificial intelligence ecosystem,” Tokayev said.
