Halit Ergenç, the Turkish actor best known for his portrayal of Suleiman the Magnificent in the historical drama «Magnificent Century,» will visit Kazakhstan this fall.
A meet-and-greet with the actor is scheduled for Sept. 14 in Almaty.

Turkish television dramas have become a global phenomenon, winning over audiences with emotional storytelling, high production values and sweeping romances. Series like «Magnificent Century,» «1001 Nights» and «Endless Love» are watched by hundreds of millions of viewers all over the world.
The appeal of Turkish dramas has even reached Hollywood. Earlier this year, actor Bradley Cooper said on «The Joe Rogan Experience» podcast that his mother, Gloria Campano, became an avid fan of Turkish television during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Cooper, she was hooked on the 2018 romantic comedy series «Erkenci Kuş» (Early Bird) and often rewatches episodes of her favorite series.
He also praised the quality of Turkish television, saying he was impressed by both the production values and the performances, calling the actors exceptionally talented.
