Three Billionaires from Kazakhstan Enter the Forbes List

All of them represent the finance and tech sectors

On April 6, Forbes published an updated list of the world’s billionaires. The Richest in 2021 list includes seven billionaires from Kazakhstan, three of whom are newcomers: Vyacheslav Kim and Mikhail Lomtadze (Kaspi.kz) and Timur Turlov (Freedom Holding Corp.).

The wealth of 51-year-old Vyacheslav Kim is about $3.3 billion, according to Forbes. Mikhail Lomtadze, who is the 45-year-old CEO and co-founder of Kazpi.kz has made a fortune of $3.2 billion. These two businessmen took 925th and 956th positions in the world’s richest list. The third newcomer to the list is 33-years old Timur Turlov with $2.1 billion. His position in the list is #1517.

There are three other businessmen from Kazakhstan: 60-year-old Vladimir Kim with $4.6 billion (622nd position), whose fortune is based on natural resources and metals. Bulat Utemuratov, a 63-year-old businessman with a wealth of $3.4 billion is in the 891st position. His core business is natural resources, banking services and hotels.

The 1111th position of the Forbes list is held by a couple of Timur (54 years old) and Dinara Kulibayev (53 years old), who have $2.8 billion each. They have made their fortune on banking services.
