The founder and CEO of Med365, a Kazakhstani automated medical examination equipment provider, Chingiz Kulakhmetov, announced that Kazakhstani drivers will soon have the opportunity to undergo an express medical examination at gas stations for around 20 cents. According to him, at the initial stage, the company is launching the system for examining taxi and intercity bus drivers, with future plans to expand the option to all drivers, Kulakhmetov told Kursiv Cars during the Freedom Practicum media event.

The equipment provided by Med365, which conducts a medical check-up within one minute, is set to be installed at Kazakhstan’s gas stations. Kulakhmetov believes that this will allow taxi drivers to quickly pass a medical examination before committing to their route. The service will help identify potential health risks and prevent a potential traffic accident caused by unwell drivers.

The project is already being implemented at major Kazakhstani enterprises, including ERG, Qarmet, Kazakhmys and Astana International Airport. In the near future, a pilot launch of the express medical check-up service is planned at the Sayran long-distance bus station for intercity bus drivers.

Additionally, Med365 is developing a digital platform enabling patients to receive online medical consultations. Patients will be able to reach out to a doctor, undergo a preliminary examination and obtain recommendations without visiting the clinic.

The company’s diagnostic system can measure body temperature, blood pressure, pulse and blood oxygen levels. The options also include blood and urine analyses. The system also features a health indicator monitor, ultrasound and electrocardiogram machines, telemetry and medical data-sharing devices.
