Kazakh horror movie generates buzz at international festival

«Zheztyrnak,» a movie based on Kazakh ethnic folklore and made by Kazakhstani studio Clover Street Production, has made it to the semifinal of the prestigious Bloody Horror International Film Festival in Canada. This is the most renowned international platform for the best independent horror movies from all over the world. The festival is also famous for its high standards.

International recognition through making it to the shortlist of a respected film festival has become a significant achievement for the Kazakhstani studio. As filmmakers noted, this accomplishment marks not only recognition of their professional skills but also gives them an opportunity to showcase Kazakh culture on the international stage.
