Get your piece of Americana in Kazakhstan at US embassy auction

The U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan has announced an online auction to sell used property, including computers, office equipment, shipping containers, an SUV and a utility vehicle, according to the embassy’s official website.
A total of 17 lots are up for bid, all sold in «as is» condition. The highest-priced item is a 2011 Mitsubishi L200 SUV with a starting bid of 2 million tenge (about $3,700). Organizers say the vehicle is in working condition.

Also on the list is a three-seat Polaris Ranger 6×6 UTV, starting at $370.
Other items include desktop computers, monitors, scanners and printers, with sets starting from $130 to $220. Two 40-foot shipping containers are also available, priced at about $185 and $140.

The auction will run Aug. 11-15, and all items are located in Astana. Individuals and companies registered in Kazakhstan are eligible to participate. Bidders must be at least 18 years old and complete an online registration.
