Azmat Asimov, a resident of Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital, has announced on Facebook his intention to sue Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer, for alleged unfair dismissal.
Asimov said he was dismissed in 2020 while seriously ill, to the point of disability. He claims management canceled his scheduled medical exam, preventing him from seeking compensation or insurance.
«Later, I hired a local lawyer and paid him $1,000, but he did almost nothing and claimed that he was under pressure,» Asimov wrote.
In March 2021, in Kazakhstan, Asimov was classified with a Group 2 disability. Despite this, he began driving for Uber.
Asimov said he will pay legal fees only if he wins the case against Saudi Aramco. He seeks an attorney experienced in international disputes, ERISA/LTD, Vision 2030, labor law or international arbitration.
