Police revealed the identity of the man who carried out a car-ramming and knife attack outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on Oct. 2, killing two people during Yom Kippur before being shot dead by officers at the scene.
He was identified as Jihad Al-Shamie, a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian origin, the BBC reported.
Greater Manchester Police declared the assault a «terrorist incident» and said three individuals — two men in their 30s and a woman in her 60s — had been arrested on suspicion of terrorism-related offences.
