Mbappé’s jersey sold at auction in Astana

On Nov. 1, the official closing ceremony of the third season of Kazakhstan’s youth football championship, the Freedom QJ League, took place. One of the highlights was a charity auction featuring Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé’s jersey as the main lot.

The winning bid was placed by Kairat Boranbayev, chairman of the supervisory board of FC Kairat, amounting to 3 million tenge (approximately $5,646).
«All proceeds from the auction will be donated to charity,» the organizers said.

The event was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Astana, bringing together players, coaches, club managers and League representatives. The gala evening had a Formula One theme and was broadcast live on Freedom Media.
Freedom Holding Corp. CEO Timur Turlov, Freedom QJ League President Rokhus Shokh and Kazakhstan Football Federation General Secretary David Loriya emphasized that the project has become an important part of the development of children’s and youth football in the country over the past three years.
Kairat Almaty claimed the league champion title for the third year in a row. The team received the trophy for perpetual storage and will once again represent Kazakhstan in the UEFA Youth League.
In addition, the anthem of the Freedom QJ League was unveiled for the first time, while the best players and coaches were honored in 18 categories.
