Kojima Productions, the studio behind the «Death Stranding» series, announced a collaboration with Dnsys — a robotics and wearable-tech company that develops exoskeleton systems and AI-powered mobility support devices — to produce a game-inspired exoskeleton in real life.
The announced device, Death Stranding 2 Dnsys Z1 Exoskeleton Pro, will help its owner overcome obstacles and move in complex environmental conditions. Developers say the exoskeleton will provide leg support, enhance stamina, and reduce knee load, which together will allow the user to lift up to 200% more weight. The device will also feature artificial intelligence and operate for up to four hours on a single charge.
«We designed this exoskeleton with the same passion and precision as if it were built for the world of ‘Death Stranding.’ Every detail was refined to bring the game’s futuristic vision into reality, creating something Sam himself might wear,» Art Director at Kojima Productions Yoji Shinkawa said.
«Death Stranding 2: On the Beach» is a sequel to the iconic adventure game created by Hideo Kojima, in which players take on the role of deliveryman Sam Bridges and explore a destroyed world, connecting isolated settlements. In the game, the exoskeleton helps carry heavy cargo and survive in harsh conditions.
