In China, the production of plush horse toys timed for the Chinese Year of the Horse has started; however, the stuffed horses were supposed to look cheerful, yet a mistake at a factory in the city of Yiwu made the toys look sad by stitching their mouths upside down.
The stuffed horse with a sad face went viral in China. According to Xinhua, the factory now produces up to 15,000 sad plush horse toys dubbed «Cry-Cry Horse» and struggles to meet customer demand.
A customer noticed the irregularity in a toy she bought and posted its photo online. The post quickly went viral. The «crying horse» charmed users, who wrote that the toy looked touching and even calming.

As a result, the manager of a toy shop decided not to adjust the stitches and to keep the horse sad.
The toy is in demand not only in China but also abroad. Many customers purchase both cheerful and sad horses together. Notably, the price is the same — around $3.58 per toy.
