Telegram founder Pavel Durov’s TikTok account has been unexpectedly banned. The reasons remain unknown.
Durov registered his TikTok account in January. Since then, over 150,000 users have subscribed. Trying to open the profile now, a message indicates that the account is unavailable.
The situation is particularly ironic, given Durov’s previous criticism of the platform. In a statement, he even called TikTok «sticky mud» and urged people to spend less time watching short videos. He believes such content overloads the brain and makes people worry about problems that don’t actually exist.
Neither TikTok nor Durov has commented on the situation.
