New illuminated fountains have been installed in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The installation is located at the intersection of Abdrakhmanov Street (formerly Sovetskaya) and Chui Avenue, in one of Bishkek’s central districts.
According to images circulating on social media, the fountain complex features a modern design with dynamic lighting. In the evening, the water jets are illuminated in a range of colors, from warm gold to bright blue.
According to Akchabar.kz, the new fountains are part of broader improvements to the city center. Bishkek authorities had previously announced plans to restore fountain areas along Chui Avenue. Renovation and construction work is also underway in various parts of the city, including squares and other public spaces.
Social media users have been actively discussing the new feature, with many noting that the fountain has become a highlight of the city and has added new energy to the downtown area.
The capital is also set to gain another potential tourist attraction. Bishkek is currently building what is expected to be Central Asia’s largest football stadium, designed in the shape of a traditional nomadic yurt. The facility is scheduled to open by the end of summer 2026.
