Japanese animation studio ELF-IN will open a branch in Uzbekistan and support the development of the country’s animation industry, according to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.

As part of the partnership, the sides plan to launch animation training programs focused on the Japanese market. More than $700,000 in grant funding will be allocated to train specialists in the field.

Japanese experts will also participate in the project.

Uzbek authorities said they expect the partnership to help create high-paying jobs for young people and boost exports of digital services.
