Pentagon admits UFOs in lunar mission photos are real

The U.S. Department of Defense has publicly described mysterious objects captured in photographs taken during the Apollo program as «physical» objects rather than film defects or lens flare, according to a report by Naked Science.
For decades, unusual anomalies in lunar images were widely attributed to technical artifacts. However, a recent publication posted on the Pentagon’s website presents a different interpretation. The images are accompanied by recordings of astronauts’ radio communications, and the objects are described as having a physical presence.
Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 images draw attention
Particular attention has focused on images from the Apollo 12 mission and Apollo 17 mission.
One image appears to show a vertical object with a brightness gradient, while another includes three dots arranged in a triangular formation (on photo below). Analysts cited in the report argue that such shapes and patterns are difficult to explain solely as film defects.

The publication also references astronauts’ radio communications describing unusual particles, flashes and floating debris either breaking away from the lunar surface or moving near the lunar module.
No conclusions about origin
The publication does not draw conclusions about the nature or origin of the objects. However, the report says this marks the first time a U.S. government agency has publicly characterized the anomalies as physical objects rather than dismissing them as photographic artifacts.
