Gulaiym Rakhmonova, the ex-wife of renowned Kazakh UFC fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov, announced the newest addition to her family. She shared the news on social media, posting a photo of her newborn from the maternity hospital.
Rakhmonova was pregnant with her fifth child during the investigation and trial related to the fatal car accident involving her. In March, a court sentenced her to five years in prison, but deferred the sentence for the same period.

Breaking her silence
Earlier, Rakhmonova broke her silence in a candid interview on TV host Ruslan Otepbay’s YouTube channel, where she revealed details of her prolonged family crisis and divorce from the decorated athlete after 10 years of marriage.
In the interview, she discussed family conflicts and the division of property.

Divorce dispute and property battle
The family dispute began in spring 2025 after a trip to Dubai, when Rakhmonov insisted on signing a prenuptial agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, in the event of a divorce, each party would retain only the property registered in their own name.
As a result, the only major asset registered to Rakhmonova was a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 — the vehicle she later crashed in the fatal accident.
Rakhmonova is now seeking to have one of the family’s apartments in Almaty transferred to her or to their children. The property is currently registered in the names of Rakhmonov and his mother, and the fighter has refused to transfer ownership.
A key source of tension, she said, was her strained relationship with Rakhmonov’s mother. According to Rakhmonova, the fighter made it clear he would not remain with a partner who did not respect his mother.
