Kazakhstan and Turkey to launch projects worth nearly $1B

Kazakhstan and Turkey are preparing to launch new large-scale projects with total investments exceeding $920 million, which are expected to create thousands of jobs in Kazakhstan.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented joint investment projects worth over $920 million between Kazakhstan and Turkey, the Akorda press service reported.

The projects are expected to create more than 3,100 jobs in Kazakhstan. New production and infrastructure facilities are planned for launch across several regions, including Astana and Almaty.

In particular, Turkish Miryıldız is set to establish a mining and processing plant in the Abai region.

İskefe Holding plans to open a gelatin production facility in Almaty.

In the Turkestan region, Orzax Group plans to establish a modern facility for the production of biologically active supplements.

S Sistem Lojistik and Kazakhstan’s national postal operator Kazpost plan to develop a logistics hub at Aktobe International Airport.

Tiryaki Holding is constructing a wheat and pea processing plant in Astana.

Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin said that around 100 investment projects worth approximately $4 billion have already been implemented in Kazakhstan with the participation of Turkish companies. He added that the two sides are currently working on another 50 joint projects valued at roughly $4 billion.
