The end of spring brought one of the season’s most visually striking lifestyle events in Kazakhstan. On May 30, the private fashion show «Fashion. Peonies. Art.» took place on the picturesque grounds of Daisy Flower Farm, offering guests a blend of fashion, nature and art against the backdrop of blooming peony fields.

Now in its second season, the project seeks to unite fashion and the natural environment while bringing together Almaty’s creative community.

Runway among the flowers

The event’s main attraction was its setting. Located against the dramatic backdrop of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains, Daisy Flower Farm transformed its blooming fields into an open-air runway, with the catwalk placed directly among rows of peonies.

Guests wandered through flower gardens, posed for photos in specially designed installations and watched runway presentations by local fashion brands. The setting provided a unique sensory experience that distinguished the event from traditional fashion shows.

Local designers showcase new collections

Several Kazakhstani designers and fashion labels participated in the program, presenting women’s, men’s and children’s collections. Among them were Oksana Utelbayeva, Almurt, Piano Studio and other local brands.

While some of the collections reflected familiar fashion trends, the event itself left a lasting impression thanks to its carefully curated atmosphere and immersive floral surroundings.

The combination of fashion, landscape design and seasonal blooms created an experience that was as much about aesthetics as it was about clothing.

A country-chic atmosphere

The organizers successfully cultivated an atmosphere of understated country luxury throughout the event.

Natalya Yemelyanova, founder of Daisy Flower Farm, and Margo Kokovina, designer behind the Florany Marg brand, joined forces to transform 2.5 hectares of blooming peony fields into a large-scale art and fashion venue.

In addition to the runway shows, the grounds featured lounge areas, photo installations and walking paths. Many visitors attended not only for the fashion presentations but also for the opportunity to spend the day among the flowers and capture photographs in one of the region’s most picturesque seasonal settings.
