The 2027 Tucson has undergone significant exterior changes. Instead of the smooth lines of the current model, designers have opted for a more upright and sculpted silhouette. The SUV’s proportions give it the appearance of a smaller version of the Santa Fe.

At the front, a thin horizontal light strip is complemented by vertical lighting elements at the edges. The grille and bumper are more prominent, while the hood and fenders feature sharper contours.

The sides retain the squared-off wheel arches, but the body lines are now more angular. At the rear, vertical taillights are connected by a horizontal light strip.

The main features of the interior are a large central infotainment screen and a digital instrument cluster. The dashboard stretches from door to door, while the center console has a more open design and offers additional storage compartments.

The interior features wood-grain trim and soft-touch materials. Physical controls, including haptic buttons, remain below the screen. The Pleos Connect infotainment system is expected to run on the Android Automotive platform.

Technical specifications for the new Tucson have yet to be revealed. Hyundai has also not announced pricing or the full range of powertrains.

According to Autoblog, the Hyundai Tucson currently available in the U.S. comes with a 187-horsepower gasoline engine. With competitors increasingly shifting toward hybrid powertrains, Hyundai is likely to retain electrified versions of the Tucson and could also increase the output of the base engine.

The fifth-generation Tucson is scheduled to launch in 2027. Hyundai is expected to reveal more details about its powertrains and trim levels at a later date.

In Kazakhstan, the Hyundai Tucson was the country’s second-best-selling car in July.
