
German actor Til Schweiger has joined the cast of «Armour of God: Ultimatum,» which is being filmed in Kazakhstan.
The actor is working on set in Almaty, Salem Entertainment said on social media.
Schweiger is known for his roles in «Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,» Quentin Tarantino’s «Inglourious Basterds» and Guy Ritchie’s «The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.» His filmography includes more than 80 credits.
Large-scale filming in Kazakhstan
«Armour of God: Ultimatum» is the fourth installment in the action-adventure franchise starring Jackie Chan. The film is being produced by Kazakhstan’s Salem Entertainment and Hong Kong’s Billion Target, with Kazakhstan’s Robert Kun serving as director.
Filming in Kazakhstan began in June and will continue through October. The production will use locations in Almaty, the Almaty and Mangystau regions, as well as Astana and Turkestan. One of the key filming locations is Bozzhyra in the Mangystau region. Several scenes will also be shot in Hong Kong. In addition, Chan traveled to Baku for filming.
Chan will once again portray treasure hunter Asian Hawk. In the new installment, he will search for an ancient artifact.
Til Schweiger has now joined the project’s international cast.
«It is a great honor for us to work with an actor with more than 80 film credits,» Salem Entertainment noted.
The premiere is scheduled for 2027.
