Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan is on the cover of Vogue’s October 2026 issue. At 39, the actor is at the height of his career, balancing a growing slate of film projects with his work as a producer and director. Kursiv LifeStyle takes a look at what Jordan is working on now.
Jordan’s schedule is packed. On March 15, 2026, he won the Oscar for actor in a leading role for his performance as twin brothers Smoke and Stack in Ryan Coogler’s «Sinners.»
In his Vogue interview, Jordan recalled that in 2015, he had imagined slowing down after turning 30 and taking more time to enjoy life on his own terms. Instead, his career only became busier. He now hopes to take a real vacation once he finishes filming and promoting his current projects.
A packed slate of new projects
Jordan is starring in, producing and directing a new take on «The Thomas Crown Affair.» He described the project as a fresh origin story designed to introduce the classic character to a new generation. He is also preparing to move into production on a «Miami Vice» reboot.
The actor has also spoken about his interest in anime and his desire to devote more of his career to the genre.
Despite his success, Jordan is not particularly fond of being called a «movie star.» He prefers to think of himself as a «leading man.»
At the same time, his ambitions remain high. He has said he has always been competitive and wanted his name to eventually stand alongside those of the greats.
Keeping his private life private
Jordan makes a point of keeping his personal life out of the spotlight. He rarely discusses it in interviews, focusing instead on his work.
One of his role models in this regard is Denzel Washington. Jordan has said he admires Washington’s ability to step out of the public eye between films rather than allowing audiences to become too accustomed to seeing him.
The Vogue photoshoot offered a glimpse of Jordan’s more relaxed side. Photographed by Luis Alberto Rodriguez in a London garden, he embraced the setting — allergens and all — and happily picked up a trimmer, joking around as he took on the role of an actual gardener.
