It seems law enforcement is now turning its attention not only to little-known streamers but also to popular bloggers. Two TikTok creators were sentenced to five days of administrative arrest each after posting videos containing profanity.
Almaty police came across the videos while monitoring TikTok. The clips featured two young men using swear words and offensive language, although the creators presented the material as humorous content.
Police identified the individuals in the videos as 25-year-old Ibraim Stambekov and 21-year-old Abai Abdykhanov.
«By court order, they were found guilty and sentenced to five days of administrative arrest each. Police remind the public that the use of profanity and offensive language in the public information space entails legal liability. Presenting such content in a ‘humorous’ format does not exempt its creators from responsibility,» police said.
Notably, neither man is an unknown social media user. Stambekov has more than 400,000 followers on Instagram, while Abdykhanov has an audience of more than 110,000.

The cases could prompt other bloggers to review their older content, particularly videos and posts containing profanity, and consider removing or censoring such material.
At the same time, the precise boundaries of liability remain a question. There is a distinction between using profanity to insult a specific person and simply using foul language in a video. The recent cases may therefore lead popular bloggers to take a closer look at their past content.
