Screenings help detect cancer early
In the first eight months of 2026, nearly 115,000 women in Almaty underwent preventive screening. These examinations can help detect breast cancer at an early stage, when treatment is generally more effective.
Specialists emphasize that regular screening is important for early detection. Examinations can also identify benign breast conditions. More than 26,500 patients are currently being monitored by breast specialists, most of them diagnosed with mastopathy or benign tumors.
