Freedom Finance Global PLC (subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp.) has obtained a license from the Astana International Financial Centre’s (AIFC) Committee on Financial Services Regulation. This document allows the company to provide clients with securities services through the Astana International Exchange and international securities markets including retail brokerage.
According to Timur Turlov, CEO of Freedom Holding Corp., the new company, which will work with securities at the AIFC, can open new possibilities for various clients in Kazakhstan by facilitating better adaptation of their portfolios for broader international goals in investing.
«We believe this new license will increase our performance in the region and boost the AIFC development,» Turlov stated.
The company plans to open its first client accounts this July. It will also continue growing and expanding its subsidiary, Freedom Finance JSC, which is licensed to provide access to the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) as well as to provide investment banking services to Kazakhstani businesses.
