Kazakhstan to Invest $20 Billion into Transport Communications

According to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

Kazakhstan is ready to invest about $20 billion to diversify transit and transport routes, reported the Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency citing the president.

As Tokayev stated at the Central Asia-China summit, Kazakhstan is going to allocate this money to the transport sphere by 2025.

The president noted that according to the World Bank assessment, the development of transport communication in Central Asia may increase the GDP of all five states in the region by 15%.

Also, Tokayev highlighted the importance of cooperation and joint efforts into the Belt and Road Initiative. For example, to build big infrastructural projects with high value added.
