They aren’t willing to donate to Kazakhstan Halkyna social fund

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has blamed some big businessmen who haven’t made any donations to the charity fund initiated by the leader of the state.

At the same time, he expressed deep gratitude to those businessmen who donated a piece of their fortune to the Kazakhstan Halkyna fund.

«You’ve shown goodwill toward those fellow citizens of our country who need this charity,» Tokayev noted.

However, he believes that some wealthy people are not eager to participate in charity.

«Some big shots, which are an integral part of the domestic oligopoly or even its living symbols, aren’t eager to take part in the charity initiative by the president. What is that: greed, nihilism, sloppiness or disrespect?» wondered the president.

Tokayev said that he is going to issue an edict to regulate the participation of big businesses in the charity process.
