Right after the riots that broke out across the entire country, several top officials including the deputy energy minister and executives of electronic trading platforms have been arrested. They are charged with an unreasonable liquid gas price increase in the Mangystau region.
Law enforcement officers arrest deputy head of Mangystau region
Galymzhan Niyazov, deputy head of the Mangystau region has been arrested by a local court for two months, according to the Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency.
