There are no means of making political career for youth, the president said

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan said that the ruling party Amanat [formerly Nur Otan] doesn’t pay any attention to the preparation of the next generation of political managers, according to the Interfax news agency.

«In the current reality, politicians must talk to people of all professions and youth, those who represent our nation. We have no social elevators for talented young professionals even though there are a lot of such people in the country,» said the president, who leads the party.

He also noted that the Amanat party has to turn itself into a talent factory to prepare the next generation of politicians and political managers who can keep in touch with their voters.

«So far we haven’t done enough to reach this goal,» Tokayev said.

The president believes that the party needs special training programs for future deputies, mayors, ministers and other candidates.
