Esan Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of Turkish Esan Eczacıbaşı Endüstriyel Hammaddeler San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and South Ural Resources will start searching for useful minerals in the Aktobe region.

According to a draft ruling of the administration of the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region, 5,400 hectares in the Batpakkol county of the Mugalzhar district will be given to Esan Kazakhstan for mineral exploration until August 25, 2029. The move requires public servitude over this land; therefore, the ruling has been published for public consideration.

As public servitude is a legal opportunity to use land that belongs to someone else under the authority’s decision, the district administration is also seeking public servitude over land parcels in the Kaiyndy county with a total floor area of 12,673 hectares. Although this land won’t be seized from its owners, South Ural Resources will be exploring the area until September 12, 2029.

South Ural Resources is a joint venture by Tau Ken Samruk, a subsidiary of the Samruk Kazyna holding and Esan Eczacıbaşı Endüstriyel Hammaddeler San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

This situation isn’t unique. In late March, the administration of Shalkar district planned to impose public servitude over 526.96 hectares in favor of South Ural Resources which was expected to explore the area until February 7, 2030.
