Euronews will start operating in Kazakhstan. This development was reported by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture, citing a memorandum of cooperation signed by Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva and Chair of the Board of Directors of Euronews Pedro Vargas David.
«The opening of the regional office of Euronews is a significant opportunity for enhancing comprehensive media coverage and raising awareness about Kazakhstan’s economic, political, social and cultural development among the international audience of the channel,» said the minister.
There is no timeline yet for the office’s opening. However, the two sides have already discussed the possibility of organizing training and master classes for personnel of Kazakhstani TV channels in the future.
«It is important for us to support local journalists. We plan not only to invite specialists from Europe but also to seek out talents and new faces from Kazakhstani media outlets,» said Pedro Vargas David.
Balayeva added that Kazakhstan has all the necessary resources to establish a strong professional editorial office.
The two parties plan to actively cooperate and implement various projects aimed at developing the media sector and strengthening international exchange.
Euronews is a European television news network that provides news in 13 languages. It was established on January 1, 1993, and is headquartered in France.
