The American dream factory – Hollywood – is set to convert Skibidi Toilet, a popular cartoon series on YouTube, into a full-fledged movie and create a new franchise. Michael Bay and Adam Goodman, the former head of Paramount Pictures, have confirmed their engagement in the project, according to Variety.

Skibidi Toilet is a web series that often causes a vomiting reflex among adult viewers but appeals to children. The series was created by Alexey Gerasimov (aka DaFuq!?Boom!), a young Russian motion designer currently residing in Georgia. According to the series’ plot, toilets with human heads (Skibidi Toilets) are trying to seize the city and convert all other people into their kind. They are confronted by cameramen – robots with cameras instead of heads. Gerasimov used the Skibidi Dop Dop Yes Yes song from TikTok as the series’ main musical theme. Each new episode of the show is more intense than the previous one.

There are many fans of Skibidi Toilet worldwide, as the DaFuq!?Boom! channel on YouTube had more than 43 million subscribers at its peak popularity in 2023. The unusual series, let’s put it this way, received tons of critique for its psychedelic plot. However, among young viewers, it was a best-seller, probably due to the very same reason.

Now, Michael Bay, a prominent director known for “Transformers,” “Armageddon,” “Pearl Harbor” and “Bad Boys”, wants to convert Skibidi Toilet into a full-fledged movie. Once this happens, cinemagoers should be prepared to see something amazing.

Meanwhile, Michael Bay and Adam Goodman are negotiating the details of the future project. They also want to offer toys to the Skibidi Toilet massive fan base this fall, although some unlicensed souvenirs are already available in many toy shops.
