According to the press service of Kazakhstan’s cabinet, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov wants to assess the efficacy of governors’ work by evaluating the welfare of regular Kazakhstanis.
«The prime minister has instructed the cabinet to introduce KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to evaluate the efficacy of governors’ work by assessing improvements in the real welfare of regular people,» the cabinet said in a statement.
To monitor and analyze positive changes for thousands of Kazakhstani families, authorities are going to use the Digital Family Map. They will track five categories, ranging from urgent and crisis levels to satisfied and prosperous levels. The more families move from unsatisfied groups to satisfied ones, the more effective a governor’s work is considered (and vice versa).
Bektenov has also instructed governors to use this tool as a reference for planning and implementing mid-term and long-term measures.
In addition, Bektenov wants governors and the central cabinet to work with every family in need to reduce the number of families who have found themselves in a crisis or urgent situation.
«We are going to monitor this process online constantly. Then we will draw some conclusions,» Bektenov highlighted.
In 2022, the country’s government introduced a special information platform called the Digital Family Map. It was designed to keep data about citizens from various public agencies. With the help of the system, the government was expected to identify needy families and provide them with guaranteed public support.
