FlyArystan CEO Richard Ledger came to Uralsk to meet Zhazira Musina, the mother of a 12-year-old girl who wasn’t allowed onboard and left alone in the Astana airport.
«The CEO visited Uralsk to apologize and meet in person Zhazira Musina, the mother of Zere Galiyeva, who was left alone at the Astana airport during the KC 7367 flight boarding on July 21, 2024,» the Telegram post says.
Richard Ledger gifted the certificates for free flights across Kazakhstan operated by FlyArystan until the end of 2024 to Zere Galiyeva, her sister, Zaura, and their mother.
The context. Last week, the FlyArystan air carrier wouldn’t let 12-year-old Zere Galiyeva onboard, separating her from her twin sister. The plane departed while leaving the girl alone at the Astana airport. The incident occurred when the company changed the aircraft to a smaller one with not enough seats. Following an outrage on social media, the airline apologized to the young passenger and her mother.
The Civil Aviation Committee called the situation «outrageous» and promised to punish the guilty.
Last Wednesday, Air Astana accused an employee at the Astana airport of damaging an aircraft owned by FlyArystan. The worker in charge allegedly damaged the rear entrance door of the plane due to improper treatment of a stairway.
