Kazakhstan to export robots to Indonesia
Texol, a Kazakhstani industrial equipment manufacturer and service provider, is set to export machines to the Indonesian PT Ahli Teknik Nusantara, the Interfax Kazakhstan news agency reported.
The Indonesian enterprise will acquire robots designed by Texol for cleaning oil storage tanks and processing oil sludge. The agreement between the two parties was signed at the Indonesian embassy in Kazakhstan.
«Introducing automated oil storage tank cleaning systems by Texol in Indonesian enterprises will enable more competitive prices in the market and raise its overall efficacy,» said Nova Sumolang, CEO of PT Ahli Teknik Nusantara.
Texol produces industrial cleaning robots at a plant in Atyrau. These machines reduce oil refinery waste and recover up to 90% of the oil product.
The company responsible for robot development is TexolKazService, which, according to Kazakhstan’s e-government website (eGov.kz), is controlled by TexolTrans. The company was founded by Gabdulkhakim Zhashibekov, a major general of justice who used to hold top positions at the Dry Port of Khorgos, the Correctional System Committee, the Financial Police Agency, the Executive Office of the President and the Security Council, alongside Shota Abkhazava, a professional race car driver and racing car designer. The latter is also the founder of the ARTLine Kazakhstan racing team.
A cleaning robot by Texol was awarded the Best Innovative Product nomination at the Oil&Gas 2024 trade fair in Atyrau. The company also has an EU quality certificate that entitles it to export the system to the EU, Japan, Switzerland, the U.S., Israel, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Apart from robotics, Texol’s activities also include railway car lease and repair, transportation of compressed natural gas and logistics automation.
In July, Texol established a freight car plant in Atyrau with a capacity of 6,000 tons of product per year. The company announced that 2,700 people will have been employed by 2027.
