The International IQ Registry, a popular platform for IQ testing, has released its annual report on average IQ ratings by country. Kazakhstan ranked 66th out of 127 nations, with an average score of 97.27 points.

The study is based on 2024 results scored by nearly 1.4 million users who completed the test on the website. The top five nations are China, Iran, South Korea, Japan and Singapore, with average IQ scores ranging from 105 to 107 points.

«The average IQ by country seems to be generally higher in East Asia; close to average in Europe, Western Asia, Oceania, North America and North Africa; and below average in Central and Southern Africa and Latin America,» the International IQ Registry analysts commented on the website.

The positions surrounding Kazakhstan (66th), from 61st to 67th were occupied by Myanmar (61st), Moldova (63rd), Algeria (64th) and Nepal (67th). Other Central Asian states ranked a bit lower: Uzbekistan at 69th, Kyrgyzstan at 84th and Tajikistan at 96th.

It’s worth noting that not every country is represented in the list. For example, it was impossible to calculate an average IQ score for Turkmenistan due to a lack of data. All participants took the test voluntarily and independently.
