Kyrgyzstan’s parliament suggested that school students should graduate with a driver’s license as part of their education. The Ministry of Education immediately responded to the initiative and pledged to explore the proposal, as reported by the Kyrgyzstani media outlet Kaktus.media.

«During a meeting of the Mekenchil deputy group, MP Bekmurza Ergeshov noted that many high school students today want to obtain driver’s licenses. To achieve this goal, they attend private driving schools, but the quality of training they receive is uncertain,» the media outlet said.

Ergeshov proposed introducing driving training in high schools so that its quality could be overseen, and students would graduate with driver’s licenses in hand.

«I am talking about all school students. Is it possible to introduce training like this?» he asked.

«Certainly, we will consider your proposal,» the Minister of Education responded.

Meanwhile, in Kazakhstan, many drivers renew their driver’s licenses via the eGov Mobile app. This online service is available for those whose licenses have expired, been stolen or require a data update. Since mid-2024, when the service was launched, more than 7,000 people have used this option.
