Teniz Capital Brokerage LTD, a sister company of Teniz Capital Investment Banking registered with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), has acquired a 49% stake in the Tabys mobile investment application, as announced by the AIFC. The deal’s value remains undisclosed. According to Tabys representatives, the company does not plan to sell the remaining shares.

Tabys expects that its partnership with the broker will expand the range of available financial instruments in its application.

The platform will include shares and bonds listed on the Astana International Exchange (AIX), along with other financial instruments, and will provide users with access to international markets. As Tabys CEO Zharas Musabekov noted, these changes will be implemented gradually, starting with the most popular financial instruments among investors.

The AIFC will retain control over Tabys and client accounts will remain in the AIX Central Securities Depository (AIX CSD).

Teniz Capital Brokerage LTD was registered with the AIFC last August. At the time, it was announced that the company would focus on serving retail clients and providing them with access to foreign stock exchanges. According to the AIFC register, Saken User is listed as the sole owner of Teniz Capital Brokerage LTD. In April 2023, he acquired the investment company RESMI (later renamed YURTA). He is also the majority owner of Teniz Capital Investment Banking, which, as of March 1, ranked seventh among Kazakhstani investment portfolio managers by assets, managing more than $20 million.

The Tabys application offers one of the most convenient ways for Kazakhstani investors to invest in gold, whose stock exchange value has reached record highs several times in recent weeks. For example, with the help of the app, investors can purchase digital investment coins, such as Gold Coin, and exchange-traded notes (ETNs) issued by iX Gold SPC Limited, tied to precious metal prices.
