On April 7, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erbol Myrzabosynov met with the leaders and employees of Freedom QJ League, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees Timur Turlov, at the organization’s office. According to the minister, the league has created an effective project based on a systematic approach and focused on comprehensive development over just two years. Myrzabosynov admitted that he was a bit surprised by the fact that QJ League had done so in such a short time.

The official also recalled that the press conference dedicated to the launch of the Freedom QJ League project in 2023 was the first event he attended as chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture.

During the meeting, QJ League’s representatives told the minister about the key achievements of the project over the past two years, including those in sports analytics and media marketing, and revealed the league’s plans for the near future.

One of the main achievements of the past season was the launch of a digital platform for coaches — FF Manager. Thanks to the platform, specialists working in Kazakhstani football academies are able to plan classes in a more convenient way while also expanding their knowledge through a massive methodological base available in Kazakh, Russian and English.

As Freedom QJ League President Rokhus Shokh noted, the league has become an effective social lift for football players, coaches and administrative staff of clubs. Moreover, it helps those who work directly on the project. For example, the project’s team consists of young Kazakhstani specialists who grew up in different regions of the country and were then recruited for the project.

«We feel the support that the ministry has been providing to our project for the past two years, and it is very important for the young people to see it. I am convinced that we will achieve our dream of building truly cool football, and that the league will continue to expand,» Timur Turlov said during the meeting.

The upcoming season of Freedom QJ League is going to have 54 teams from 17 regions of Kazakhstan. Notably, for the first time, the league is launching competitions for boys under 16 and a tournament for girls under 17.
