The airline ticket booking service Aviata has rebranded as Freedom Travel, according to a statement on the company’s website.

All core features familiar to users — ticket search, personal accounts and 24/7 customer support — will remain unchanged. Passenger data, booking history, purchased tickets and boarding passes will also be retained.

The Aviata.kz website will continue to operate but will automatically redirect users to the new address. Users will not need to reinstall the mobile app; the update will occur automatically.

In April 2023, Aviata became part of Freedom Holding Corp., enabling the service to integrate with the holding company’s payment and insurance systems.

«The rebranding marks the next step in the service’s transformation and deeper integration into the Freedom ecosystem,» the company’s statement said.

Freedom Travel promises users cashback rewards: up to 14% on airline tickets and 13% or more on train tickets within the Freedom ecosystem, free international roaming, 24/7 customer support and access to insurance policies.

«We continue to build a full-fledged ecosystem of digital services for our clients, where everyone can live freely, expand their horizons, invest and grow,» said Timur Turlov, founder and CEO of Freedom Holding Corp. «The acquisition of Aviata was a natural step in developing the Freedom ecosystem. The rebranding of Aviata as Freedom Travel is not just a name change — it marks a new milestone in our mission to provide Kazakhstanis with greater freedom when traveling. We are continuously evolving all of our services within the Freedom SuperApp, building on many years of success and the trust of our customers.»

The Freedom ecosystem comprises a group of companies in investment, finance, insurance, mobile communications and lifestyle sectors, largely integrated into the Freedom SuperApp.

Cashback is accrued in Freedom’s investment currency, which is a derivative security based on shares of Freedom Holding.

Freedom Holding Corp., registered in the U.S., is headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and operates divisions and subsidiaries in 20 countries, including the U.S., Cyprus, Poland, Spain, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Freedom Holding’s common shares are traded on the Nasdaq Capital Market, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and the Astana International Exchange (AIX).
