On May 26, 2025, the long-awaited fan meeting of Dimash Kudaibergen, titled D&Dears, took place at Almaty Arena. The venue accommodated about 8,000 spectators and was completely packed, with not a single empty seat in the hall. Kursiv LifeStyle shares its impressions of the event.

Fans from around the world attended the concert — from the U.S., Spain, Chile, Russia, France and dozens of other countries — united by one thing: to see and hear their favorite singer.

One of the most touching moments of the evening came when Dimash made a phone call from the stage to legendary Kazakh singer Bibigul Tulegenova. Hearing Dimash’s voice, she warmly congratulated him and gave her blessing, prompting a long round of applause and bringing many in the audience to tears.

The performer also announced the winners of the #TauIshindeChallenge competition, held in connection with his new music video. The winners were Akmonshak Nurtaza, a teacher from Astana, and Andrea, a fan from Chile. Both received «golden tickets» to Dimash’s upcoming European concerts.

Several other popular Kazakh performers joined Dimash on stage, including Zarina Altynbayeva, the group KeshYOU, Dastan Orazbekov and Amre. A special guest of the evening was Isa Bekbolat, a young judoka from Atyrau who went viral after singing the Kazakh song «Balkadisha.» He performed the same song at the event, tugging at the audience’s heartstrings.

Toward the end of the evening, Dimash performed many of his most beloved hits, showcasing his remarkable vocal range and emotional depth. He also made an important announcement: he will perform live at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York in October 2025.

Last Sunday, the National Library in Almaty hosted a presentation of the book «Dimash and Kazakhstan: How They Changed My Life,» written by Esther Ullman, a Swiss fan of Dimash. In the book, she shares how Dimash’s music inspired her to explore Kazakh culture.
