Kazakhstan promotes tour packages featuring Backstreet Boys concert

Kazakhstan promotes ready-made international tour packages with tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert included.

One can purchase a travel offer from one of the three Kazakh tour operators — Kompas, Sanat and Skyway LTD, according to the press service of Kazakh Tourism National Company.

«Sales of part of the tickets within the tour package will allow travelers to receive the required service in a single set, including tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert in Astana, hotel accommodation, transfers, and cultural and excursion programs,» the company noted.

The statement also emphasized that 1,000 tickets are to be distributed by a company located in Dubai to an international audience.

Backstreet Boys are performing at the Central Stadium in Almaty on Sep. 19 and on Sep. 21 at Astana Arena in the capital. Organizers revealed that negotiations for the band’s concerts had been underway for a year.

Public ticket sales for the Almaty concert began on July 15 at 11 a.m., and tickets for the Astana concert also went on sale on July 15 also at 11 a.m. The ticket prices start at $76 at the current exchange rate, and Astana concert tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  

Amid the rush and significant digital queues, resale offers have already appeared on Olx.kz — a popular classified ads website in Kazakhstan.

Notably, Backstreet Boys and Jennifer Lopez concerts in Kazakhstan are expected to contribute more than 1 billion tenge ($1.9 million) in taxes by year-end.

Other major artists scheduled to perform in Almaty include Robbie Williams and Marilyn Manson, both appearing on stage at the Park Live Almaty music festival. Other notable performers include Indian metal band Bloodywood and Mongolian rock group The Hu.
