Kyrgyzstan’s Chüy Region, near the city of Tokmok, is set to host the country’s first theme park of international standard. The project is being implemented in partnership with U.S.-based IdeAttack Inc., renowned for developing iconic parks in the U.S., the United Arab Emirates, China and South Korea. This will be the company’s first project in Central Asia.
According to Kabar.kg, the Kyrgyz Tourism Development Support Fund and the Chüy District Administration have signed a cooperation agreement. A 50-hectare land plot that meets all international standards has already been allocated for construction. Negotiations and preparations for the project’s implementation have been underway since early 2024.
The concept of the future park will be inspired by the cultural and historic heritage of Kyrgyzstan. Visitors can expect Central Asian fantasy-style architecture, amusement rides and entertainment based on the «Manas» epic, themed zones dedicated to the Great Silk Road, live shows with national music and dances, as well as workshops on building yurts (traditional portable dwellings used by nomadic peoples), working with felt, horseback riding and traditional cuisine.
The exact timeline for the project launch and park opening has not been revealed. Usually such projects take several years to complete, from design through construction and launch. If construction begins in the near future, the opening would not be expected before 2027.
The project aims to enhance the country’s tourism appeal, attract more foreign visitors and strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s image as a unique cultural and entertainment destination on the world tourism map.
