Kazakhstan’s processing industry has shown steady growth, with output reaching approximately $29.6 billion in the first seven months of 2025.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction, the processing industry grew by 6.1%, with its share in the country’s economy reaching 13.9% over the period from January to July 2025. Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspaev emphasized that the results of industrialization demonstrate steady growth in the processing industry.

«In the first seven months of this year, the processing industry has already risen by 6.1%, and output has reached more than 16 trillion tenge ($29.6 billion). I would also like to note that the share of the processing industry in the economy has increased to 13.9%,» the minister said.

To stimulate domestic production, the government has allocated approximately $924 million to support 115 projects in the processing industry. The funds have been channeled through development institutions, including the Baiterek holding.

Moreover, Kazakhstani manufacturers were given priority in public procurement. In the first seven months of 2025, purchases from local producers grew by 1.5 times, exceeding $2.2 billion.

The launch of a unified registry of domestic manufacturers planned for fall 2025 will be a crucial step, which will allow for transparency of procurement, as well as help eliminate fake producers, strengthening trust in domestic companies.
