Kazakhstan expects 103 new aircraft in its fleet by 2030

Kazakhstan’s aircraft fleet is set to receive 103 new planes by 2030. With these additions, the total number of aircraft in the country will exceed 200, according to Primeminister.kz.
The current fleet consists of 104 aircraft, including six new Airbus A320s and one Boeing 737 MAX 8, delivered in the first half of 2025.
«This year, 36 new international routes have been established and eight international air carriers have entered the market. The number of active domestic routes in the country now stands at 61, with 850 flights operated per week,» said Vice Minister of Transport Maksat Kaliakparov.
To ensure air travel affordability and support socially significant destinations, 21 subsidized routes are currently operated across nine regions. In 2025, 6.4 billion tenge (about $11.9 million) was allocated for this purpose. Tourist destinations, including Usharal, Urzhar, Kokshetau and Turkestan, are given special attention.
The expansion of the aircraft fleet and destination network is part of a broader program to develop Kazakhstan’s transport infrastructure, which also includes the modernization of roads, railways, aviation and port infrastructure.
Notably, in January, Kazakhstan’s major air carriers, FlyArystan and Air Astana, expanded their fleets with an Airbus A320 and an Airbus A320neo, respectively.
