
In a video the model published on Instagram, she walks through a shopping center in Bali. She enters a Uniqlo store and proudly shows an advertising banner with her face on it. The video also contains images from other stores of the brand all over the world with Mukhamedgalieva’s face.
«I can’t believe it,» Mukhamedgalieva wrote on Instagram.
Her followers shared the model’s enthusiasm, giving her hundreds of positive comments and congratulations.
Uniqlo, which offers a wide range of casual apparel to millions of customers around the world, has no official stores or partners in Kazakhstan. However, Kazakhstani fans of the Japanese brand can order clothes for delivery from South Korea and the U.S.
For Mukhamedgalieva, photo shooting for Uniqlo wasn’t her first high-profile collaboration. In the spring, she starred for Korean Vogue magazine. The model’s portfolio also includes work with the New Balance brand.
The Kazakhstani model was born in the small village of Talshik in the North Kazakhstan region. Her educational background is in political science. She became a model by chance while studying in Almaty. Now she works under contract in Tokyo.
Earlier this year, a 19-year-old model from Kazakhstan, Ali Daniyarov, walked the catwalk during the Prada show organized within Milan Men’s Fashion Week.
