At just 15 years old, Owen Cooper has made history as the youngest male actor ever to win an Emmy.

The teen star earned the honor for his role in «Adolescence,» which dominated this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards by taking home both Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and Best Supporting Actor.

Cooper’s win came against a stacked field that included Javier Bardem (”Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” on Netflix), Rob Delaney (”Dying for Sex” on FX), Peter Sarsgaard and Bill Camp (”Presumed Innocent”), and his own «Adolescence» castmate Ashley Walters.

«Adolescence» centers on 13-year-old Jamie Miller, played by Cooper, whose arrest for the murder of a teenage girl shatters his family’s life.
