In an interview with Fox News, following a call with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested new potential participants in a possible deal concerning China’s ByteDance-owned TikTok operations transfer in the U.S., Sky News reported.
According to Trump, the list could include media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan Murdoch — who, through the family trust, control Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News — along with Dell Technologies founder and CEO Michael Dell.
Trump also said that Oracle founder and CEO Larry Ellison, previously announced as a participant, is also in the group, whereas the company, according to the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, would be responsible for the data security of the app.
