OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, has chosen Kazakhstan as the first country to roll out its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) designed to train teachers and students, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek announced in New York.
According to the official, OpenAI has been developing a new version of ChatGPT specifically for teachers, designed to serve as a full-fledged assistant that handles routine tasks such as analyzing, collecting, and searching for materials, preparing courses, checking homework and more.
Nurbek added that a separate version of ChatGPT will be available for students, serving as a mentor to help structure knowledge, provide reminders and support personalized learning. He emphasized that this represents the fulfillment of a long-standing aspiration of the academic community: the creation of a tool that enables individualized education through AI. He highlighted that the pilot project for introducing these major new tools will take place in Kazakhstan.
